STEELWORK NZ LTD incorporating John Jones Steel Christchurch and Aorangi Steel Fabricators Timaru is a well-established company of almost forty years experience throughout New Zealand, with a proven ability to successfully undertake structural steel projects of any magnitude. Its modern and well-equipped Christchurch workshop extends to more than 4,900m² providing covered facilities for every stage of the fabrication and finishing processes with an additional on-site covered bulk storage warehouse of 1600m². Aorangi Steel Fabricators has increased the capacity and given greater flexibility in completing projects with a 2800m² workshop thus creating one of the largest and advanced structural steel fabrication enterprises in New Zealand.

Managed in Christchurch the combination of John Jones Steel Ltd & Aorangi Steel Fabricators Ltd, Timaru has enabled the Group to increase efficiencies and more importantly, create a Head Office, which can benefit our clients in this competitive environment.

An in-house drawing office handles all workshop drawings, quantity surveying, and programming functions that gives effective liaisons with architects, engineers & clients. Our seventy-five staff is almost evenly divided between the workshop and site locations, providing the flexibility and backup required to work co-operatively and effectively with other contractors on-site.

Our modern fleet of long range Transport Units, 30 Cranes including 17 workshop gantry cranes from 5-1 tonne, 16 Access Platforms, 4 beam saws, inline beam drill, laser plate cutter, shot blasting booth with painting facilities, two fabrication shops not to mention the numerous Mobile Welding Trucks with Haib's.
